Wolf Den Retrievers is a small, home-based kennel located along the gorgeous North Shore of Lake Superior--approximately 7 miles from downtown Duluth, Minnesota.
Here, we raise, breed and train our dogs. We maintain game birds such as ducks, pheasants and pigeons that are utilized for professional training services. Our facility includes 30 private acres with a professional technical training pond close to our home. We work to build personalized training options for every client.
Our family has been devoted to breeding the best Labrador Retrievers possible for our growing Den family since we began in 1989. This includes thorough current genetic panel health screenings for major disease elimination, orthopedic X-rays for Musculo-skeletal hip / elbow dysplasia and eye certifications.
Our pups have been placed with families all throughout the United States and Canada. We not only strive to place pets in homes that hunt and train their animals for professional field trials and hunt test but also as family and therapy pets. Many pups have gone on to achieve titles in APLA, UKC, AKC and K9 scent detection/ service careers.
The Labrador Retriever is the world’s most resilient and versatile dog. Its ability to adapt and train easily are some of their most endearing characteristics. We pride ourselves with our animal’s trainability, gentle demeanor and amazing marking abilities. In addition, the climate in north-eastern Minnesota allows us to utilize the dog’s amazing innate water-born capabilities as well as upland game talents.
